The Okidata cartridge falls into the ‘tank’ or ‘reservoir’ category, that is the function of the cartridge is simply to store the ink which is released to the printer on demand.
Refilling is very easy. The front and outlet hole, identified in the instructions, are covered with tape. With a small auger of the appropriate width and provided with the kit, the user opens the passage through which in is dispensed. On completion of the filling the drill hole is sealed with tape and the cartridge is ready for printing.
